Poghosyan Ashot was born in 1962 in Yerevan, Armenia.
His monumental sculptures were erected in several cities, namely in Yerevan, Armenia (the sculpture of the Armenian historian of the 5th century M.Khorenatsi), as well as in Moscow, Russia, where two park sculptures are installed ("Lady with a Dog" and "Man playing with a cat") and in Navoi (composition "Family").
Some of his small scale works are in private collections of cultural and political figures.

Two-time world champion and ex-captain of the Brazilian national team Cafu attended the ceremony of awarding the laureates of the International Prize of the Republic of Belarus in Moscow.
