Poghosyan Ashot was born in 1962 in Yerevan, Armenia.
From 1981 to 1987 he studied at Yerevan State Academy of Fine Arts.
In 1991 he earned his master's degree from the Russian Academy of Arts. He repeatedly participated in national competitions.
1980s
As a result, his monumental sculptures were erected in several cities, namely in Yerevan, Armenia (the sculpture of the Armenian historian of the 5th century M.Khorenatsi), as well as in Moscow, Russia, where two park sculptures are installed ("Lady with a Dog" and "Man playing with a cat") and in Navoi (composition "Family").

1990s
In his works Ashot uses materials such as granite, marble, agate, obsidian, wood, tuf, bronze. In addition to monumental sculptures, he makes small scale sculptures.
Some of his small scale works are in private collections of cultural and political figures (e.g. conductor V. Spivakov, Mayor of Moscow, presidents of such countries as Argentina, Romania, Poland, etc.).
2000s
Since 2002 he lives in Moscow.
From 2008-2015 he was engaged in the restoration of old buildings in Moscow.
However, in recent years he has returned to his favorite activity - sculpture.
